Colombo, November 09, 2021 – Seylan Bank, The Bank with a Heart partnered the musical spectacular ‘Hadagasma’ as the Official Banking Partner. The event was organized to raise funds for the purchase of an oxygen unit at Wathupitiwala Hospital. Seylan, who has been a significant contributor throughout the pandemic stepped forward to support the cause.
Sri Lankans are largely drawn to music and believe that ‘music has no boundaries, they believe that Music can uplift the spirits of everyone young and old and through this event, the country was once again able to witness the splendour of a musical extravaganza having been deprived of it for the longest time.
'Hadagasma' was a pre-recorded musical spectacular that aired on Swarnavahini, and on Aus News Channel for all Sri Lankan music enthusiasts living in Australia. The virtual evening featured some of Sri Lanka's most talented and beloved veteran artists, including Bathiya Jayakody (BnS), Sanka Dineth, Shashika Nisansala, Sangeeth Iddamalgoda and many more. The musical night created a buzz with an overwhelming response on social media, having over 105,000 people witnessing the event on air.
‘Hadagasma’ reached many hearts and so many people have been donating towards the cause from around the world.
