1. What do I get with a Remittance card

you will get Master or VISA Debit Card with Seylan Sure Savings account

2. Can I withdraw only a part of my remittance and save the balance in this card?

Yes,and you will earn interest for the remaining balance.

3. How I will get the remittance to my “Remittance Card”?

Inform the remittance receiving 15 digit account number to the remitter and request to remit directly to the account.

4. Can I use the Remittance Card in any ATM?

Yes.you can withdraw from any bank ATM locally on the LankaClear network or abroad on Master/VISA operating Network, or it can be used to purchase goods and services at merchant outlets.

5. What information should I provide the remitter ?

  • You shall provide Card holder’s name,15 digit card account number, Bank name as Seylan bank and branch.
  • If you are remitting funds through a bank using SWIFT, you may provide Seylan bank SWIFT code (SEYBLKLX) in addition to the details stated above.

6. What is the fastest and cheapest method of remitting money?

Transfer through one of our Remittance agents and enjoy the best conversion rates and lowest charges.

7. If it’s a bank holiday will I receive the remittance?

Yes. When remitted through one of agents, Remittance Card Account will be credited 24*7*365.

8. How will the rate be determined?

The bank will provide the exchange rate prevalent at the time of effecting the payment.

9. Do I need to be an account holder to make an outward remittance?

Only account holders will be allowed to make outward remittances.

10. In which currencies can we effect a TT remittance?

USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, JPY, SGD, CAD, CHF, HKD, NZD, INR, SEK, DKK, CNY, NOK, AED and SAR. Further, you may contact any branch to effect a payment in any other currency (i.e. MYR etc.)

11. What are the documents required for a TT ?

  • Duly completed TT Application with valid signature – based on your account ( if business account – please ensure to place the seal)
  • Ensure all supporting documents required are attached
  • Form 1

Kindly note: the application will be scrutinized to meet Foreign Exchange requirements, therefore, additional time will be taken for processing any application with any deviations from the eligibility criteria.
